My mother is on fall break this week and asked for the boys to come over for a bit today. I waited until after Brayden's nap to bring them over. Brayden took a 4 hour nap today so we didn't get to my mom's house until after 6:00. I dropped Brayden and Bryce off and went to the grocery store and to take a shower (really sad when you have to "fit" those in" when the kids are gone or sleeping!) I returned to get them a little after 8:00. Bryce hadn't moved, he slept the whole time. Brayden had been busy. They painted a pumpkin, colored, read books and made me a birthday cake! Oh melt my heart... I walked in and Brayden, like a broken record, said "Mommy, I made you a cake, I made you a cake, I made you a cake for your birthday". SO precious. So wonderful. I hope I never forget it. My mom said he added all the ingredients, cracked eggs, added frosting.. the whole deal! And he was SOooo proud of his final product.... and of course, I was too!
Anyway, Brayden didn't want to leave and since mom is on fall break... he stayed! He should be exhausted tomorrow. I'm sure he won't get to sleep until late and would be too wired on sugar anyway to sleep much....
