When Bad Things Happen to Good People....


Ok, so I think I'm a good person... But why do bad things happen so close to vacation? That is the million dollar question. One of my greatest strengths... however also a great weakness, is that I'm a Planner. No surprises, no extra events, just the PLAN. Can be good... can be bad... but planning for a vacation is Good! I bought plane tickets to LA (the port for our cruise) in June... with details to stop in DC.. drop Brayden off (as my dad will be keeping him for the week) and then fly out to LA. I had everything calculated, found flights for our friends, rental cars, etc. A perfect plan.... until.... the airline calls you 3 weeks before your trip only to tell you that all flights to LA have been cancelled... !!! (uh, refer to sentence 2 "no surprises, no extra events, just the PLAN". Not good for my personality type... it only brings unneeded stress to my life. So here we are attempting to come up with a new plan of attack. I'm not happy about it! I have convinced myself, however, that whatever happens I will still be boarding a boat come cruise day! It will happen, I will go on vacation, the airline will receive a nasty email, I will get back to a new plan and life will be good.
