Long time, no blog...



It seems like I haven't blogged in quite a long while... We've been staying busy. Tony and I leave for vacation in less than a week. It seems like so long ago that we planned the trip and now it's less than a week away. I still have about 500 things to do and haven't started packing. It has been hitting me this week how much I'm going to miss Brayden.. Of course, I knew that I would miss him but I've been clinging to him this week. He's become my little sidekick, my right hand man, my little buddy and I'm so sad to leave him. I know it will be a good week. Tony and I sat down the other night and we started chatting about all the things we love about vacation. It's the little everyday things that we have forgotten since we've had Brayden.. such as sleeping in, going to the bathroom ALONE, going to the salad bar at a restaurant at the same time... you know ... little things. Tony also mentionned that he's excited to have a week that he doesn't have to "share" me and that my attention isn't primarily focused on Brayden. It's so true that children seem to consume your lives and it's only after 9:00 at night when you've put them in bed that you can ask how their day was! I'm excited to have a week for just us! We'll be celebrating our 5 year anniversary. It doesn't seem that we've been together that long and yet it seems like forever all at the same time. I'm so thankful for such a great spouse! I look forward to many anniversary trips.
