ORDINATION SUNDAY!
Such a monumental day! Oh how proud I was of Tony today! What an amazing man. How have I been so blessed! Tony was ordained today in both services. On Saturday, he met with an ordination council for 2 hours defending his doctrinal believes and his call to the ministry. I think I was more nervous than h
e was. Today he was presented with a ordination certificate and a bible that he was able to pick out. Tony chose the same bible that his parents gave him at his licensing after high school. So needless to say, this bible signified another big milestone in our lives I was called up on stage with Tony for the ordination committee to pray and lay hands on us. Of course, I was so overcome with emotion and crying everywhere, that during the whole prayer, I was more concerned that the snot from my nose didn't hit the pastor's shoe :) Luckily, no drips!
My dad and step-mother were able to come to Indy for the service and I'm so grateful that they did. I think Tony really appreciated it as well. We had a nice time today and went to dinner this evening.
Brayden, on the other hand, has had a rough couple of days. He started the week wheezing out of control and gasping for breath. After several trips to the doctor, Brayden's wheezing (asthma) has been much better with the aid of a nebulizer, Ibprofin, antibiotics and steriods. Poor kid. The Dr. warned us that the steroids would make him slightly agitated..... uh... understatement... How about uncontrollably, almost unbearable, severely agitated.
In these pics, he almost has the dazed "I'm on drugs" look. 3 more days of steriods and we should be home free... or at least, life will be a little easier for Tony and I. Tomorrow, it's back to the daily grind. Tony will be at seminary and I am going to work. My dad will be in town until tomorrow morning so they will be watching the crotchety 2 year old tomorrow. May the Lord be with them...
