My Preschool Homework

On Brayden's first day of school, he was given a posterboard and told to make a family collage on it. This would then be laminated and become their lunch placemat. Brayden needed to include each family members handprints, who they were and our family name. We left for Florida and the project was put on the back burner... Upon returning, I remember that Brayden needed to have this done by his next school day. The night before school, Brayden was going to bed and I gasped..."I forgot all about his project!!!". So I then realized that I would have to be the one to complete his "homework"... It made me reminisce about all of the times that my mom did the same for me... I can remember countless times that I had a paper or project due and I would wake up and my paper had been edited, projects tweaked, etc. I can't even imagine the long nights that my mother must have spent on these things... and here I was ... just preschool! Now granted, I understand that Brayden needs to do his own work but this was just a simple one... and it was due... and I did want it to look nice...and he was tired...and .... is it bad to wonder if the teacher liked it? I wonder how it ranked with others in the class... Other 3 year olds in the class?? Oh my, I've lost it...

Editor's note: I went to Brayden's school to help in the classroom this week. Some of the other kid's placemats were definitely NOT made by 3 year olds!!! HA, I wasn't alone...

Good work, Mommy! I'd give it an A+!
