Oh what a day! It's been a couple weeks ago now but I had yet to post about the important day. The day started at the State Fair. It was our annual day at the fair... a day where any diet was out the window and any food was "fair-game". This year, we brought both boys and our friend Melina. Brayden had a blast and feasted on a corn dog, funnel cake, ice cream, and a bite of a deep fried pickle. We had been at the fair for a good part of the day and we were all worn out... that was until this phone call came in:
"Tony, the neighbors are looking for you. Their son is sick and have 3 tickets to the Wiggles that they would like to GIVE to you... ah yea.. but the concert is in 2 hours..."
OK... so the Wiggles have been my son's staple, his movie of choice, his singing icons, his favorite toys for well over a year now. We knew they were coming to town but the tickets were $40/ea starting for 2 year olds. We knew we'd have a newborn and wouldn't feel like spending 120 esp if the new baby would be crying and we'd have to leave. And now we had been offered tickets to their concert... FOR FREE! the only downfall... my son was exhausted, we were exhausted. But how could you turn this down... so of course... we didn't!
It was a blast! We got Brayden home, put him to sleep, only to wake him an hour later and headed to Conseco Fieldhouse. Tony wanted to wait until we got there to tell him where we were headed so that he would be surprised. Tony was like a kid in a candy store... He couldn't wait to tell Brayden where we were going. The concert was enjoyed by all. We sang all the songs, danced with the Wiggles, and I think we were more "star struck" than Brayden.
Bryce had a good time as well! Of course, he slept through most of it and woke up just to eat and was back to sleep in his cozy sling... what a great baby!
I have many more pics of this concert to post... but am having trouble for some reason...
