Abby!

Abby is our 5 year old miniature dachshund! The day that I went into labor with Bryce, she started yelping in pain when she jumped up and down. We figured that she pulled something and didn't think much about it. 3 weeks later, ridiculous vet bills, no diagnosis, and several different pain killers later... we still don't know what's wrong and she's only getting worse. It's so sad to watch. She lays on the bed, shivers and yelps at the slightest touch. She barely walks, has a strained bark, and is eating very seldomly.... all while on a pain killer that should be making her feel better! We will prob. return to the vet to see what they would like to do next. The vet thinks it may be a disc problem and suggests the next step as surgery. We are unsure which route to take and how much money we can realistically put into Abby. This is a tough semester as I recently quit my job, new baby, and Tony's most expensive semester of school. Abby has been with us for 5 years. Tony and I purchased her when she was 8 weeks old and weighed less than 2 lbs. She has become part of the family and it would be very hard to lose her... Please pray for wisdom for us in what to do!
