"CAN YOU STILL DRIVE?"


This is the most recent question I was asked... referring to the abnormally large growth on my abdomen... a.k.a. Bryce... Now, I know I was asked with the best of intentions and that she must have had genuine concern for my ability to drive... BUT... uh, 4 days before a due date, 9 months pregnant, 65lbs heavier, wider than a mack truck, too large to fit in most average size chairs, unable to see anything other than my swelling hands and toes... yea, not the time for such "genuine concern and questioning". I politely responded that yes, I was still able to drive and was in turn asked "how? I mean, do you move the wheel? do you have room to scoot the seat back? Can you fit ok?" My pleasantries were wearing thin but I simply nodded and responded that I had not really considered my method of entering the car but that yes, I was still able to operate my vehicle... Word to the wise... uh, not a great question... but thanks for asking!
To all those reading this that have often wondered the same of me if you have seen me recently, rest assured, the car still fits!
