Long weekend...

We just got back to our home after a long weekend in Gary, Indiana... (uh.. yea, Gary, Indiana!!) Not exactly the vacation capitol of the world... but Tony was asked to lead a youth rally and preach at a church on Sunday morning. So... we packed up the entire family... including the dog (our 7lb protector!) and drove to Gary. We stayed in the parsonage... as this church is currently without a pastor. And of course I have no idea why... aren't people just dying to move the the number 7 unsafest city in the world.... subtle sarcasm at it's finest. Tony, as always, did a fantastic job... but of course, I'm biased. It was neat to have the whole family on a road trip. Brayden had a rough night sleeping because the house was empty so you could hear every small noise... which in turn made for a rough night... But we made it. Abby didn't chew any carpet, wet on any floor, or destroy any cough... and that's always a blessing. It's great to be home. Some of Gary's finest memories.. shopping in a Kmart that has an all you can eat pancake buffet (are they serious? who stays in Kmart that long!), eating at PonderGROSA (the only sit down restaurant in this part of Gary) and Tony realizing half way through dinner that he was the "only white boy", and Tony ordering the 5lb burrito from a mexican restaurant after church today. Honestly, the biggest thing I've ever seen in my life. We are guessing it was a foot long, 5in wide, and 3in thick! Oh my! Unfortunately after half way through, Tony succumbed and asked for a doggie bag.
We're back at home. Brayden is ready for his bath and I'm ready for bed! Tony and Brayden are enjoying quality home with the aqua doodle while I'm posting... Back to the grind...
