Winter Mini-Vacation

Sometimes you just need to get away... and it doesn't need to be far away. It seemed as if lately we had SO much going on that we needed a family break. So we took one- 5 miles down the road. For the past year of a "Drury Inn" being built on a main highway on the way to church, Brayden has commented on it each time we passed it. "Man, it sure does look like Florida over there. That hotel looks just like Florida. I want to go there." Tony and I also smirked at him and looked at him like he was nuts. The Drury Inn in Indiana surely had Nothing on a nice condo in Florida. I'm so glad kids are wiser than parents sometimes though- The Drury Inn did resemble certain aspects of Florida- family time together, a pool, and relaxation. We booked a suite and enjoyed our mini family vacation. Inside the hotel, we almost forgot that we lived 5 miles down the road...oh, except for when Tony had to leave to let the dog out... ;)
