Christmas 2008

Yes, you read the title correctly... and yes, it is almost July and I am just now putting up my Christmas '08 post... and yes, I'm pathetic. I know I should have just started with current pics and forgotten about trying to "re-live" or "re-visit" 7 months ago but considering this is my ONLY way of "scrapbooking" or remembering things- I had to throw them on the blog somehow... so, eh hem... behold Christmas 2008-
Christmas Eve- We typically spend at my mother's house each year. Because our church has a Christmas Eve service that Tony needs to attend, travel to either DC or Missouri is difficult! :) We also think it's important for our kids to enjoy Christmas morning in their own home. Before or after the actual morning- we travel! My uncle and Grandfather joined us for Christmas eve. We made our birthday cake for Jesus, ate way too much shrimp and opened presents. The overexcited picture of Brayden is because he opened a Wii... the boy was thrilled. And of course we certainly pause to remember Jesus as this is the entire (the ONLY ) reason we are able to celebrate. My king was born and has forever changed my eternity. For this, we are grateful.
Christmas morning-
First of all, mom and dad or er eh.. Santa stayed up wayyyyyyy to late. But this is the finished product and the boys and mom and dad were pleased. Brayden's school did a Santa shop this year. We sent Brayden to school with money and a list of people to shop for and Santa's helper assists the kids in shopping. The frame in the collage is what Brayden got me. Even though it looks... a little... uh... "not quite my taste", I LOVE IT. straight from the heart and he was so proud.

After Christmas, we traveled to DC to visit my dad, stepmom, and bro. We had a great time and the kids were just as spoiled there. Brayden gifted my dad (from the Santa shop) a hammer and my dad loved it! Mack sniffed and approved of all the gifts and we ate like kings.
