It's 12:15 am, and I should be heading off to bed. But I just glanced at the clock and realized that the day that I've been "bittersweetly" anticipating for the past month or so is finally here. Bryce turns 2 today. Knowing that Bryce is my last baby (at least biologically), and that "2" is the magical number where you no longer refer to them as "a number of months old", I've had a difficult time with this birthday. Almost as if, my babies are "officially" gone... grown up, etc. I'm thrilled for the next "stages" of life and watching the boys and grow and learn things on there own... but oh how I also ache to have them as babies just once more and to cuddle and provide for their every need. My sweet sweet baby is becoming a sweet sweet boy. What a joy and honor to be called his mother...Bryce,
Just 2 short years ago, I kissed your big brother goodbye and went to the hospital to meet you. I remember worrying that I couldn't possibly love a second baby as much as Brayden... I didn't know how I'd share my time and love. The instant I heard your very first cry, it made sense... I just did. Your perfect little body entrusted to your father and I from our Creator to love and care for. I love you beyond words... beyond explanation. I marvel at the way you look at the world... so laidback, so carefree. You are a loving and sweet boy. You teach me the importance of having fun in each moment. I love your laugh, your smile, your zest for life. You are an amazing "little" brother. I am proud of you. Happy Birthday big boy....
