Catching up- July 4th

Uh... yes, I'm well aware that it's almost August and I'm JUST getting around to blogging about the 4th... it's been a long couple of weeks.

The 4th was a great time. We had dinner at my mom's house and fireworks after. My grandfather and uncle came up as well. Last year, Bryce was already in bed by the time we got around to doing fireworks so I wasn't sure how well he'd like them. As you can tell from the collage, he seemed completely unaware of what was going on and then the shock suddenly turned to terror and then the oh so sad face. Priceless.

Brayden, on the other hand, decided this was his year to be fearless. He loved the sparklers and even stopped between a two to flex his ever expanding muscles. He's such a ham. After dinner/sparklers/fireworks in the driveway, we attempted to head over to see some city fireworks. We met up with Christina and Jill and families. The kids, as always, loved running around and playing together. Unfortunately, we picked a not great spot to watch them and missed most of them... ah well...

And another picture of Christina and our youngest children... she is moving in less than a month... I think I'm in mourning.
