This is our couch. This is our couch after Brayden pulled all the stuffing out of one of the pillows. Let me explain... Brayden recently transitioned from the daily nap to "room time". He is getting older and not tired every afternoon...therefore, he sometimes has quiet "room time" instead. He is to play quietly in his room during that time with toys, books or puzzles. It seems the room is a complete disaster after the 2 hours but at least he is contained and somewhat resting and he cleans up afterwards... Last Friday however, Tony thought it would be a good idea to watch a movie during "room time" in the basement instead. Tony is home with the boys on Fridays while I work so he thought he'd see how his idea worked out... Well... it was a great idea.. for Tony... He slept through the movie and THEN... thought "this is such a great nap time for me that I'll ask Brayden to just "rest" for a little bit longer. UUUUUUUHHHHHHH!!!! slight problem... 3 year old who has already watched 1.5 hour movie in the dark will not just sit on the couch quietly in the dark for another hour while parental sleeps... Just ain't happenin'. Our couch had a hole in the cushion from our dog. Brayden found it. during quiet time. in which dad slept. in which Brayden was expected to sit on the couch in complete darkness wide awake doing nothing for AN HOUR!
See where this is going? This picture is the end result. Tony apparently woke up to, "Hey daddy, there is a hole in the couch".
Tony responded, "Yes son I know, it's from Abby."
Brayden says, "No daddy, there is REALLY a hole in the couch"
Lesson #432 Never fall asleep with active three year old that has just rested for 1.5 hours and is now raring to go!
