PBS kids Day... and overcoming fears

Saturday, the Mclains and our family went to a kids day downtown. It was sponsored by PBS and had all of the characters from Cora and Brayden's favorite shows. The excitement from our 'big' kids was hardly containable. Bryce and Molly patiently sat in strollers most of the day until Molly got sunscreen in her eyes... so sad. She looked miserable. We met characters, ate lunch, jumped on bouncy thingys, had our face painted, got balloon animals, pet baby goats... the excitement was endless... ;)

The Mclains (Michael and Christina)--- Life would not be complete with her. Such such a blessing to me. She is the one I call about 50 times a day just to ask things such as where ricotta cheese is found in a grocery store. It's by the sour cream... who knew? Everyone needs a friend like this.. :)


Brayden met, hugged, and high fived all of these characters (WonderRed, Wyatt from SuperWhy, Clifford, and Curious George). Brayden has always been TERRIFIED of stuffed walking creatures... but after a long talk about how he could be the brave big brother and show Bryce that there was no reason to be scared, his chest puffed up and fear was gone... There's something about the responsibility of being a big bro. This guy takes it seriously! :)
