I realized that I blogged several months ago about us getting a new dog and had yet to post how we were adjusting to a new dog... uh.... it's ... uh.... like having a third kid. :) And I have yet to decide if this is a good thing or not such a good thing... Mack is a good dog. He is tremendous with the kids. He is protective. He is loyal. He won't leave my side. EVER. Brayden has done a great job at taking care of him. Mack sleeps with him (in a cage in his room). Brayden lets him out, feeds him, and wrestles with him. Mack has been great at teaching Brayden responsibility.
The aspects of Mack I hadn't quite counted on... shedding, chewing, licking, vet bills, expensive food, who cares for him when we are out of town, etc, etc.
But overall, Mack is a great pet.... and we are thankful for him!
