Nothing more...

than what we need for the next 30 days...! This is the commitment I made to myself. To not buy anything more that what we need. I don't know exactly where the idea came from. But I'm sure it stemmed somewhere from Tony telling my how much I shop and how much money we could save if I wouldn't shop all the time. I don't feel that I shop all the time but I am an impulse buyer for little things... such as toys for the kids, blinds for the wall, food that was on sale, clearance gadgets, etc.. Tony says that I nickel and dime us to death. So, my idea to not buy anything more for 30 days was confirmed as we (the kids and I) were walking through the store and Brayden wanted everything that he saw and asked for it. He wasn't doing anything wrong, but I started thinking that I typically probably do buy him a "little something" most times that we go out... and he doesn't have a clue where any of it is.. I'm sure! We are 24 hours in to my "commitment" and it has already proven harder than I thought. The deal (with myself) is not to purchase ANYTHING that we don't absolutely need... including eating out, accessories, food items, etc. I've already drafted a hefty list of things that I contemplated in my head and attempted to reason within in myself that we "Neeeeeded" but then put back. Tony has agreed to join me in this for the next 30 days... This should be interesting...
